The medical mission of Magsingal Association of Northern California, in cooperation with SWI, went quite well last April 25, 2011. The pictures, in the Gallery section of this website, serve as proof of its success.

There were a total of 348 minor surgeries, 313 medical consultations, and more than 200 dental procedures.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Steve and Eva Pascua Tadigue and their associates for organizing this medical mission, to all the doctors, dentists, nurses of all the different support groups, and most especially to all members of the MANC, who continuously sacrifice their time and money to make this medical mission a success.

I, also, want to thank the 16 UST doctors lead by Dr. Anna Marie Galora Villalobos of San Ramon, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur. Of course thanks also to the doctors from La Salle and UE RM.

I better not forget to thank Hon. Jerry Singson for bringing 2 boxes of medicine and 6 reflexologists. Dr.Meliza Singson, thanks for your support.

Thanks to all the MANC scholars, who filled up prescriptions at the pharmacy.

Arlene Tolentino Alquero and Erna Tolentino, thanks for your support and generosity.

Thanks to the following donors:

Jose Luczon and family, $100.00

Marivic Palolan Cachola (an MANC scholar) and family, $150.00

Henry Cuaresma and family, $250.00

Phil & Edna Vega Esguera for donating glocumeters and medical apparatus

Ronnie Collado for the boxes of medicine that he donated

Chato Tongson & Delia Jurado for teaching CPR

To the rest of those who supported this medical mission, thank you very much and God Bless you all.

MANC will be sponsoring another medical mission to Magsingal on April 25, 2011. This medical mission will be one of the highlights of the SWI Grand Global Reunion which will be on April 24, 25, and 26, 2011.

MANC is committed to help its kailian by sponsoring medical missions and awarding UNP college scholarships to its bright but financially challenged high school students. So far MANC has awarded 33 scholarships and 21 had already graduated. Of those who graduated, some of them are already working for the Department of Education as teachers; some are working at the Makati business district of different job descriptions and some are working overseas; and one is managing a franchise company.

MANC had also donated money for the repair and rehabilitation of Saint William, the Hermit,  parish church and for the erection of a new restroom, located between the parish pastoral council and the old stage north of the church.

Thanks to all its members and officers, who work tirelessly to raise funds so that MANC can deliver its services to our kailian. You are the modern day hero of our kailian. Good luck and God Bless you all.
